Prices, Descriptions and Availability of Goods
Prices are subject to change without notice and all goods are sold subject to availability. Whilst we take the utmost care to ensure that product descriptions, pictures, information and prices are accurate we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions. Colour and texture may vary slightly from those shown on the website due to limitations of internet technology. Orders are accepted at our sole discretion and we maintain the right to decline orders without giving an explanation. Where appropriate VAT at the prevailing rate is included in the prices shown.
Please note: due to the weighed nature of some of our products and the fact that all our produce is hand-prepared there may be slight variations in pack weights.
Special Offers, Promotions and Vouchers
We reserve the right to refuse any special offer or promotional price. Promotions do not apply to carriage.
Making a Purchase
To make a purchase please email Christine with your order or enquiry. Much of our produce is only seasonally available so it may be necessary to pre-order. If this is the case we will keep you informed of expected dates of availability via email. In some instances we may ask you to pay a deposit to reserve pre-ordered produce.
We accept payment by BACS, cheque or cash. Payments should be made to: Christine Page.
Produce can be delivered to your home or alternative address, including your place of work. Perishable items are packed in temperature controlled, insulated boxes with ice packs, designed to keep your produce cool for up to 48 hours. The courier can leave your box in a ‘safe place’ at your risk if you instruct us accordingly.
We will agree with you a convenient day for delivery of produce sent by overnight courier. We normally aim to despatch perishable produce on a Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid the possibility of it being left in a depot over the weekend. However, we can have it delivered on other days if you prefer. There may be an additional charge for Saturday deliveries. We are not responsible for the box or its contents once it has been delivered to you at your stated delivery address (including taking into account any special instructions given to us). The contents of the boxes are perishable and must be delivered. If we are unable to deliver to you, or have to deliver late, for reasons beyond our control (for example, adverse weather conditions, strike actions, vehicle breakdown or traffic congestion) we cannot accept liability for any inconvenience or loss that this causes.
Shipping And Handling
Due to our remote location it is very hard for us to find courier companies willing to collect from us, especially as many do not accept perishable items. We use APC Couriers because we have found them to be reliable and we feel confident they will take care of our products. We charge a flat rate of £15 on all deliveries for shipping and packaging. This is less than it costs us. We will reduce our charge for shipping if the cost to us is reduced.
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that frozen items remain frozen on delivery, by the use of extra ice, we cannot guarantee this, and cannot be held responsible for any defrosting which may occur en route.
We want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. In the unlikely case that you are not entirely satisfied with any of our products or service, we may, at our discretion, refund the value of your order, issue a credit note or exchange the product. No cancellation of your order can be accepted less than seven working days before delivery is due. Cancellations must be made in writing. If the problem arises where our agent has attempted to make the delivery and/or there are no instructions for safe leaving, neither us nor our agents shall be held responsible in any way and will make no offer of refunds.
We trust you never need to complain about our service or produce. However, if you have a problem, please contact us via email: Christine@smilingtreefarm.com
We aim to: Acknowledge complaints within five working days; Advise you how long it will take to resolve the complaint; Keep you informed throughout the process.
Any complaint will be recorded. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to the products

The information on the website will be amended accordingly and you will be deemed to be responsible for checking the details of your orders against the current information on our website. We will not be held responsible for any discrepancies in your order value resulting from these occasional changes.
